The Forever of Ella and Micha (The Secret, #2) - Jessica Sorensen I enjoyed The Secret of Ella And Micha, this one felt more like a retelling of the original story, with added drama. Ella is a broken girl that has been starved for affection her entire life, but as a young adult, she seems to be sexually driven. I can understand how it relates to the relationship between Micha and Ella, but it seems excessive in the general context.

That seems to be the current basis for the majority of new adult novels, the female protagonist is inexperienced, but as soon as the main character has sex, it then seems to be the only thing she wants as she suddenly morphs into a sexual kitten on the prowl.

Like the original in the series, the characters don't communicate, relationships are based on assumptions and lack any meaningful conversation. Ella is attempting to become a better person, but the two immature young adults don't seem to be healthy for one another regardless, and I can't see how that can be a positive relationship.
